Think Deeper
Dreamtonics is a Tokyo-based company building vocal production, speech synthesis, instruments and neural acoustics modeling software. We are a small, multilingual team of engineers and musicians who are also heavy users of our own products.
Dreamtonics doesn’t simply build on top of the hottest academic papers. We do our own research to tackle real audio production problems.
Synthesizer V Studio, Vocoflex, and Instrument X. Neural acoustics modeling that puts accurate, highly controllable instruments and vocals in every studio.
Independence, patience and dedication are what it takes to build software that lasts.
Instead of building on conventional patterns, we put deeper research into our software so it works the way musicians actually work. Being a small team lets us move from a research idea to a usable product quickly, and it lets us take on problems that are hard to justify inside a large company.

Since Dreamtonics was founded, we’ve brought advanced signal processing and machine learning algorithms to audio production. Nowadays, people call it “AI”, but fundamentally what we do hasn’t changed, and neither has our standard procedure of working with real artists under real contracts.
Whether through a direct contract or our partner, we make sure the singers and instrumentalists we work with are aware of the use of their recorded samples for training our products.

After spending several years in speech synthesis research, Kanru Hua founded Dreamtonics in 2019 upon seeing the potential of modernizing music production with the latest technology. “Synthesizer V” was named for a simple reason — it was the fifth attempt at making a new singing voice synthesizer.
Dreamtonics has since grown into a multicultural team, with its head office located in Tokyo and employees spanning worldwide.
